The Introit from this service, Jesu, grant me this, I pray, was composed by former Director of Music, Christopher Robinson. The Choir also performed the work as an introit on Wednesday 27 April as part of Choral Evensong, broadcast live on BBC Radio 3. The programme is available to listen to again here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07869zf

Jonathan Dove's Missa Brevis was commissioned by the Cathedral Organists' Association whilst our current Director of Music, Andrew Nethsingha, was serving as its President. The work's premiere came at the C.O.A. conference held in Wells Cathedral in May 2009, performed by the Choir of Wells Cathedral under the direction of Matthew Owens.
