Sung Eucharist - 22 November 2015

For the first webcast of 2016, here is a Sung Eucharist from last term.

Kodaly's Missa Brevis was originally written as an organ mass (note the organ voluntary 'Ite missa est'). Its first performance was in the cloakrooms of the Budapest Opera House during the siege of 1944-45 although its official premiere occurred in 1948 at the Three Choirs Festival in Worcester.

Whilst term-time duties do not resume until next week, the Choir is already back in Cambridge and hard at work, recording a new CD of Advent and Christmas music.
