This week's webcast of Choral Evensong is of the Ash Wednesday service. The service features Thomas Tallis's 'Short' setting of the evening canticles, the first choral movement of J.S. Bach's Cantata BWV 12 Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen,which was later reworked as the Crucifixus for his Mass in B Minor, as well as Allegri's celebrated setting of Psalm 51.
