For the service of Ash Wednesday, the choir sing music from Byrd, Allegri and Tallis. In 2021, the choir were not able to assemble for the service of Ash Wednesday due to the pandemic, but this year the choir were together and able to sing to a congregation. The Italian composer, Allegri, sets the text of psalm 51, featuring two choirs; the full choir and the semi-chorus, with plainsong between each verse.
